Galleries
The photographs in my galleries were largely taken with a Canon EOS 10D digital SLR. Most were shot with a 100-400mm f4.5-5.6L tele-zoom lens or a 17-40mm f4.0L wide-zoom. The newest additions are now being taken with a Canon EOS 40D and 30D. The photo files are processed with a calibrated computer monitor. Prints made from these files are made on a Canon i9900 medium format printer using a custom profile for Ilford Gallerie Classic Pearl paper. This combination of paper and ink produces wonderfully accurate and vibrant prints with at least a 20 year longevity. (I'll reprint them for free if they don't.) This is comparable to the wet-based or dye sublimation machines found at 1 hour photo systems. The advantage of these procedures is the resulting control of color accuracy from start to finish. Please note: my photos are not water resistant! The slightest moisture can damage them. Purchased photos should be put in a photo album or frame. For greatest longevity, don’t display these photos where they can receive direct sunlight.
